Frequently asked questions
Can I add more PDFs after I have already chosen some?
Yes. Click the file picker again or drop more files onto the window; new picks are added to the end of the list.
How do I change the merge order after selecting?
Use the arrow buttons on a file in the list to move it earlier or later. You can also remove a file and add it again to send it to the end.
What will the merged file be called?
It takes the name of the first file in your list with a -merged suffix, so putting the main document first gives a tidy name.
Can I add the same PDF twice?
The list keeps each picked file once; picking the identical file again does not duplicate it. To repeat a file's pages, make a copy with a different name and add that.
Is there a limit on files or pages?
Two bounds apply per run: at most 20 files and 1,000 pages in total; separately, no file may exceed 100 MB. Larger jobs go in groups — merge the groups first, then merge those outputs.
Can I enter the password for a protected PDF?
No — the tool cannot open encrypted files at all. Save an unlocked copy with your PDF viewer first, then merge that copy.
Does this tool also split PDFs or pick single pages?
No. This tool merges whole files in the order you set; splitting a document or extracting single pages is a separate job.
